Three New Color-Tuning Modules for Lighting Design

MidiMax CTM Bluetooth, Edison Price Lighting • This color control functionality is available in the company’s wallwashers and tracklighting luminaires that use the Lumenetix Araya LED module through the Bluetooth-operated Araya Tunable Color 2.0 smartphone application, which can control dimming, power, hue, and saturation. The module allows for a correlated color temperature (CCT) range of 1650K to 8000K with a CRI of 90-plus, and delivers 1,500 lumens. The wallwashers and tracklights can be mounted on the company’s 120V or 277V track, or on an outlet box. Beam spread options include spot (20-degree), flood (40-degree), and wide flood (60-degree). The cylindrical luminaires feature a permanently tensioned swivel, which can be tilted to 90 degrees and rotated 385-degrees. Fixture finishes include white, black, and industrial silver paint, as well as custom options.  epl.com

ColorFlip, Meteor Lighting • ColorFlip is a tunable white light engine that uses flip chip LED technology—a patent pending design that tightly groups LEDs to form a 1.2”-diameter COB (chip-on-board)—for heat management and uniform illumination that eliminates the appearance of individual diodes. ColorFlip offers a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K and delivers up to 10,000 lumens. The chip utilizes Meteor Lighting’s proprietary VX driver desihned for eliminating flicker when using video recoding equipment. ColorFlip can be used with the company’s 4”- and 6”-diameter cylinder and recessed downlight offerings. Dimming options include zero-to10-V and DMX. • meteor-lighting.com

Mito, Occhio • The newest product offering from Munich-based lighting company Occhio is Mito, a family of direct/indirect luminaires that feature an open-ring shape design and utilize Occhio’s new color tune technology, which provides an adjustable color temperature range of 2700K to 4000K with a CRI of 95. Mito also offers built-in sensors that allow for gesture- or Bluetooth control via the company’s smartphone application, Occhio Air. The luminaires are available in 8”-, 15.7”-, and 23.6”-diameters in 20W, 40W, and 60W, respectively. While the 8” version is offered only as a ceiling-mounted fixture, the 15.7” and 23.6” options are available both as ceiling-mounted fixtures and as single- or double- pendants. The three cables that support the pendants are mechanically adjustable and come in a variety of lengths from 19.6” to 78.8” long. Available in six finishes including matte white, bronze, and rose gold. •occhio.de
