The FARO Foundation recently relocated their headquarters to Windisch, Switzerland. They chose Zumtobel Group to be their lighting partner. The foundation just concluded an LED lighting installation in which Zumtobel installed LED lighting though out the new premises. Zumtobel says that the LED lighting greatly improves the lighting quality and energy efficiency in the FARO Foundation workspaces.
The foundation also purchased a five-year contract with Zumtobel Group to guarantee appropriate lighting levels conforming to the relevant standards for workplace lighting. Under the terms of the service contract, Zumtobel Group will arrange regular inspections of the LED luminaires and offer services such as assembly of the new, and disposal of the old lighting installations.
The LED lighting has reduced the energy and maintenance costs for lighting at the non-profit organization by 75%. Zumtobel installed the Tecton continuous row lighting system throughout most FARO Foundation headquarters. Also, Poppack LED luminaires from Thorn (a Zumtobel Group company) were installed in certain office rooms of the foundation.
The company completed the installation just 5 weeks after the signing of the contract.
“For us, the service model offered by the Zumtobel Group is a great solution: it saves investment costs, increases energy efficiency, and, above all, gives us good lighting. Workplace ergonomics and lighting are very important to persons with disabilities. The beneficial cooperation with Zumtobel Group has made the move towards a new lighting solution a lot easier for us. I was particularly impressed that such a large company would do so much for its customers on-site,” said Dani Hohler, FARO Foundation director.
FARO aids and employs adults with physical and cognitive impairments. They can choose whether they want to work in a studio, a workshop, or a cafeteria based on their interests and capabilities.
In June of 2016, the foundation moved into its new location in Windisch. The official opening celebration of the new headquarters will take place on 23 September 2016. After assessing the existing lighting, FARO chose a NOW! service contract from the Zumtobel Group to provide high-quality LED lighting at a fair price with the addition of a five-year service contract.
“We are happy that we are able to support the FARO Foundation in improving their lighting. Workplace lighting is an important factor for health, satisfaction and performance of employees. With the level of illumination and the services included in the NOW!contract, FARO can rely on good lighting at a monthly rate. This enables our customers to have more capacity and means for focussing on their core business,” said Roland Iseli from the NOW! team in Switzerland.
